A poor production of a subject that deserved better.
1 of 1 found this helpful The thoughts behind the story we're good (tolerance, prejudice, bigotry, and human cruelty), but it was more like a church putting on a play with the writing, acting, etc. lacking.

Unique and different
This is a movie that I owned on VHS and just replaced on DVD. I've always enjoyed it as it is a unique and very different story and a decent mystery. Sean Connery is always good.

Too much "made for TV", and not the best acting.
The movie was okay, but the acting wasn't great. It seemed a little too tepid for the situation and times.
