Great when new, with age expect problems
2 of 2 found this helpful I purchased a HP TX2 touchsmart, paid $789 brand new. The version I had was installed with (at the time) Windows Vista Ultimate later upgraded to Windows 7 Ultimate.
For one year the laptop worked flawlessly! Soon or around the time the warranty period was over, in my case approximately one year; it began to *overheat* by itself. Which is not good.
Then came the "USB Port device not recognized" pop ups when nothing was plugged to the laptop! At the same time usually the touchscreen/pen will stop working; when it did it was sporadic.
I checked/researched the HP forums, other TX2 models share the same or similar 'issues'. System restore doesn't fix said problems, they always come back regardless of what you do. Reinstalling Windows itself doesn't fix it either.
PROS: Mine worked flawlessly for one approximately year.
CONS: In my case not even a full day after the warranty expires it began to overheat (even a chill mat). Get "USB Device not recognized" pop ups, touchscreen/stylus stops works sporadically thereafter. Basically it turns into a basic laptop, losing at the features it was intentionally bought for.
SUMMARY: It is a fairly decent laptop but PLEASE extend the warranty or consider purchasing a warranty. ALL sorts of strange things happen *soon* as the factory warranty expires.
RECOMMEND?: Not if you purchase a warranty, otherwise NO. HP customer service wasn't much help either. In short I sold my TX2 on Ebay for a IBM X60 tablet with Window 7 Ultimate; which is two years old now and worked without a hitch.

Not bad. Decent quality.
Needed a distributor for my 1994 GMC Safari and on a tight budget. Time will tell if this part is reliable, but as of late the van fired right up and purring. Has better take off, cranks on a dime. I have ZERO complaints.

Little amp with some punch! I love it!
I was searching the market, used and new, for a simple amplifier for my Lincoln. Nothing massive, no glass shattering bass, just something that hits hard but not trunk-shattering-insane-can't-understand-the-darn-words type of thing.
So I came across the Pioneer GM5400T. Its a simple and straight forward set up, I installed it in my car with a single 12inch Audio-pipe sub. The amp is rated at 380 watts RMS, bridged mono. Let me tell you it hits! It hits great, more than what I asked for and love it.
It does get a little warm, mine did, and it was installed correctly. It never got hot, /ever/, and I have it cranked up quite often. Should your Pioneer amp, or any amp gets HOT to the touch, recheck your wiring. Also I set my amp's gain by using a voltmeter, the instructions on how to do so is all over the Internet, research it; you'll be happy you did.
All in all I am pleased with my purchase.
Will this set up win any bass contests? NO!
Would I buy another? HECK YEA!
