What an album! Great songs! It is a dream, (a great one), for all seasons.
1 of 1 found this helpful Gordon Lightfoot is still, after all these years, one of the finest songwriters and musicians on the planet. Wow.
I'm on a mission to get every song he has ever had published.I'm well on the way,& this great album gets me closer yet.
As a Wisconsinite from near Green Bay, I cried when I first heard "The Wreck of the Edmund Fitzgerald", and it still stops me in my tracks to hear those unmistakeable opening chords. I must stop what I'm doing, and acknowledge a master of his craft while listening to those truly evocative words. It's one of a very few songs that I can truly imagine myself THERE. I'm back in a raw Wisconsin winter; snow blowing, winds howling,bones chilling...awesome songs are on the whole album.
This was a good purchase. I am most happy with it.
