Empire E280 16" True Blue Combination Square

Good for the price

Works as expected, not perfect the ruler was slightly bent (very small amount of bend) but was able to straighten out easily. This is not a Starrett but for the price it works very well, it locks tight and is easy to read. I bought this so my welder would not have to use my Starrett on the weld table, don't like scraping weld spatter off $150.00 hand tools. For woodworking and general fabrication this should perform as good as the high end combination squares though it may get dinged up and wear a bit faster and easier.

Good quality

This tap wrench is a little larger and heavier than some designed for the range of taps that this is used with but that is only a negative in very tight spots. This wrench is very well made and gives you good leverage which makes it easier to use. The quality is very good especially for the price, I have other General tap wrenches as well and they have held up very well over many years and this looks like it won't be an exception. I've been a machinist since 1993 so I've used quite a few tap wrenches and these are pretty good in my opinion.

Good quality

Good quality at a decent price on E-Bay, works great on 6061 aluminum which is all I use it on so I can't comment on other materials.
