BIC Borneo kayak

No support or warranty from BIC

I was happy with the kayak until it got damaged during transportation. It was transported correctly with certified Thule Hull a Port carrier, but the the material is quite soft and the kayak deformed from its own weight... No support from BIC Sports - they don't stand behind their product :(

Casio PROTREK Tough Solar PRG-120

Lightweight and slim ProTrek, but strap brakes in a few years and no replacement...

When I bought it the watch was the slimmest ProTrek available and it turned out to be very comfortable and precise as per specification. After 5-6 years of use it malfunctioned stating "OPENED" - I googled the issue and decided to fix it myself. There is plate on the inner back that comes unglued therefore lacks contact with a related spring and message pops out. It was easy fix. The main issue is with the wrist strap - it came apart and I couldn't find replacement. I bought second watch 4 years ago, went through the "OPENED" issue haha and now again the strap broke... It scratches easily, but I care more about performance and battery life, the last is outstanding - even the 10 years old one is still on the original battery. I emailed various dealers for replacement strap and hopefully will find one, otherwise I will end up with 2 working watches, but useless due to torn straps... I would give it 5 stars as it's very good value for money, but with mentioned issues it takes 4 stars.
