Starter seems to be of good quality, however workmanship or QC is poor.
Like others, after installation, starter made terrible noise. I found the problem to be that the splines on the starter shaft are not cut far enough back along shaft. A small shim between starter and mounts makes all the difference in the world. The splines can also be cut back slightly with Dremel type tool without harming function of starter. We are only talking a few thousandths. However it should not have to be modified to be made to work.
