"Brilliant" sound and elegant design. Superb value for the dollars spent
I already own competitive POLK audio speakers, as well as the smaller Cambridge S30 speakers. When the opportunity arose to get a pair of the S70's for a fraction of the new cost - I jumped at the chance. And now that I have them - have no regrets. The S70 is a small tower speaker with sheilding - so it can be placed up front and personal in an audio/video system - and the open brilliant sound that makes it perfect for both movie goers and audio enthusiasts. For video hounds a powered subwoofer is probably a necessity - but for more subtle listening - the sound is full, complete, and entrancing. Has all of the attributes of the similar S30 with a second bass/mid-woofer for even more low end response and enhanced midrange. In partner with a Cambridge Azur CD player the musical experiance is breathtaking - and now I'm left wanting a Cambridge Blue-ray to finish off my system. As I commented on the S30 - the S70 speakers make a logical step up from more mundane off the shelf sound like Polk and Infinity provide, plus compact attractive enclosures. They are a simply "BRILLIANT" choice for your sound dollars.

great product, poor instructions
I love how this looks on the car, quality of the unit is A+. The instructions appear to have been written offshore and translated' No identification for several custom made fasteners which you have to just sort out yourself. One of these absolutely does not fit on the car in the indicated location. Passenger side, rear mounting hole of bracket, there is an existing hole in the cross-member, but absolutely no access to get the special bolt inside of it so thread can protrude. I will have to pay to have a bolt welded to the cross-member, and then re-install the bracket. Other than this one issue, I am very satisfied. Please note, vehicle I installed on is a 2008 Highlander Hybrid which is supposed to be what this kit was designed for.

Very musical and capable at an awesome price level.
1 of 1 found this helpful I am very pleased with this unit - I bought it to use with a Cambridge Azur 550C CD player. The combination provides a very pleasing experience - and I find myself going back and listening to many of my old favorites to hear the subtleties and nuances that were never available before. Another nicety is that the volume re-sets to a low setting each time you power off - so no blasting when you turn it on. My only very minor criticism is that the Azur and Topaz are not remote compatable - so I must use the discrete remotes with each - a very minor sacrifice...overall sound is every bit equal to my Denon PMA2000 - which is heady company at this price level.
