As advertised, Impressive Construction
It looks better constructed than anything else I've seen including the top 3 mfrs of HTs. Good design and reasonably priced. I'm confident that will work out extremely well over the long-term.

Excellent Tool to Have
Only downside is that you don't get any readings holding antenna up against your HT antenna. Connecting a cable to this tester direct to your radio works great at giving you both power and frequency info. Highly recommended in spite of my comment above.

I also have the 5th Edition, bought it in 1969 for college.
It was a great book for my EE college days. Bought it new in 1969 (March 1969 copyright). It is also 5th Edition, Blue binder and marked Sam's a subsidiary of ITT. Tons of good info in this books, some may be obsolete these days, but much of it is still relevant to engineers.
