A good source for the history of edged weapons
I purchased this book specifically to research information on bayonets. In that respect, it was not as comprehensive as I had hoped. For someone looking into the history of edged weapons, this is a very good place to start, as it covers a broad spectrum.

This should be required reading or reference to anyone serious about mechanical drafting in CAD.
For the new CAD drafting student, it is important to understand the reasoning behind the method. While CAD drafting is the modern digital standard, one cannot make a "shop sketch" in CAD. If you understand the methodology behind the art of manual drafting, you will understand that CAD has its limits. Drafting is the method by which specific information is presented. By utilizing manual drafting methods, a 30 second, on site, hand drawn sketch, can convey enough information to satisfy the necessary requirement to commence production, rather than waiting to return to computer station, and go through the entire process required to turn out a drawing, which then has to be delivered back to the work site.
