Choose IPE
Having had Pernambuco bows I thought it would be good to try out IPE as an alternative and it certainly plays well with enough bounce and slightly heavier than my usually bows. For some time I used carbon fibre but this is better though not quite as good in my hands as a hybrid bow I had from the same source .
This is so much cheaper than an equivalent Pernambuco and with the South American forests being destroyed it makes ecological sense to use IPE . Carbon fibre is reliable and strong but hads not the same characteristics.

Good Stuff
This is far superior to hook and loop whether "Velcro" or some other brand for attaching pedals or other devices semi-permanently. I attached several electronic devices to a plywood sheet and it would require an inserted spatula to remove them. I have an electric viola which originally I connected rather loosely but now I have all fixed do2wn and can adjust them with ease.
