Really good for use with a reflection shield
This stand is very stable and when mounted with a reflection filter and a fairly heavy condenser microphone, it is still very stable. Don’t trust your valuable microphones to a sub standard stand. This one is well worth the investment. Every hobby recording musician needs at least one good mic stand, and this is the one. Cheap ones might be ok for some situations, but as your mic locker increases and your mics grow in cost, this is the stand you will want to use with those more expensive mics. This stand is an investment, not just a necessary item. I highly recommend it. It will likely save you money if you like to use a reflection shield, since the cheap stands become very tipsy when you try to use them on one of those stands. Even a good condenser microphone by itself can make a lesser stand tipsy.

Seems good so far
Just what I needed. Better surge protection than most in this price rang.

Sounds OK but not so good on intonation
These strings sound pretty good, but I noticed that the intonation was off. This is usually caused by inferior wire used. Maybe it was just the one set I tried, but my guitar always sounds slightly out of tune ( almost always caused by the intonation issues.). I have nine more sets of these strings and I will try one more before I totally blame the strings, but I believe they are the cause of my guitar not tuning correctly. I always use D’Adorio strings and I thought I would give these a try. They are not bad strings, just not quite right. They might be fine for some players, but I found the one set I installed on my Martin guitar, to be less than perfect, and to my ear these strings were just a bit off. I would suggest that anyone try only 1 or 2 sets first before committing to a 10 set purchase, as I did. I have gotten a bad set of strings from other major USA manufacturers before, so that is why I will give one more of my 9 remaining sets a try. If they work well, I will amend my review, but for now this is my review.
