Good carb BUT
11 of 14 found this helpful This was a refurbished carb. I didn't expect perfection. I did expect it to be put together correctly. I put it on the truck and had an awful hesitation. I double checked all my vacuum lines. I checked the timing again. But the Lord was on my side. I happen to have another one in the garage. I checked it out side by side and found out the refurbished carb came with the accelerator pump upside down. It wasn't doing anything. I thought something was wrong with my pump cam, and then the adjustment. Then I looked at it and it wasn't doing anything. It wasn't moving. The rod was pushing against it, but it wasn't moving.
The short of it is; the carb tech hadn't put it together correctly nor did QA test it correctly. Something like that would have been easily found.
