Wide backing note

The fabric was of good quality, as all of my purchases from them have been. The only complaint that I had is that the company DOES NOT tear its wide backing fabric (which I forgot when I ordered). It might not be common knowledge, but a great source company the size of this one, should have known that it is the only way to handle wide backing fabric! I tore the cut edges after receiving the fabric and the first cut edge tore from a scant 1/4" to almost 15" at the other end. The other cut edge went from the scant 1/4" to well over 23" on the other side! Well, you got it, I ended up short of usable fabric for my project and I ended up creatively piecing it to even come close to what I needed. That said, I lost the benefit of purchasing wide backing fabric in the first place. I figure one must order extra fabric to compensate for what you end up with.....around 1/2 yard for sure!
