It’s GREASE, for Pete’s sake!
It’s what the manufacturer calls for in their transaxles, so this is the stuff you need. Don’t use entire tube, as only a portion of it is required. Very difficult to clean off hands, tools, workbench, etc., so be neat!

Not a perfect fit
Like the other 2 purchases I've made of Chinese O41 filters, this, too, didn't quite fit either of my 041's. Unlike the other 2, this one was close, and with a little filing & sanding, I got it to make a good seal. I thought since it was labeled "Oregon", it would fit.

It takes a bit of work to sew it on, but...
It takes a bit of work to sew it on, but if you have the patience, it looks very nice when done. My steering wheel is a bit fat, so it took every bit of thread to complete the job…something to keep in mind as you begin!
