world passion - tigran hamasyan
If you like Chick Corea and Gonzalo Rubacalba you are sure to enjoy this cd - tigran who is just beginning his career is prodigious both as a pianist and composer - my highest accolades for this artist and his music - incredible performances by all the musicians on this cd - this newcomer is way beyond sheer technique, the depth of his musicality is that of someone with 50 more years under his belt - my highest regards for this cd

a must read for the creative person
this work is a tribute to the creative spirit - a presentation of individuality and uniqueness in a world full of offshoots and reworking of the same thing - it challenges the process of education and brings life to the meaning of inspiration rather than emulation - includes much technical information of his music and the origins of his decision making process - a must have read for those in search of the new new thing

let it come to you - taylor eigsti
a gifted musician, taylor eigsti has a very mature sense of phrasing well beyond his years - very inventive arrangements - remarkable drumming by eric harland - all the musicians seem to be fully integrated into the complexity while providing space for the unexpected - taylor reveals a diversity from many of his influences and does so with both technical command and lyricism - it will connect to the experienced jazzer providing an adventersome and pleasant listen - well done - will be looking forward to the next cd
