Good for the Money
My old no-name Bluetooth headphone would no longer hold a charge, so I was in the market for a replacement. I used this unit only to listen to streaming audio and CDs from my computer. I like the freedom and convenience of being able to listen anywhere in my house (almost)wirelessly. The Motorola S305 was easy to set up/pair with my computer and has worked flawlessly. The sound quality is decent, given that wireless headphones can never compete with decent wired ones. I did some research before buying and decided, from the reviews I read, to take a chance on this one and I don't regret it. There may be better sounding Bluetooth headphones out there, or maybe not--I don't really know, but I didn't want to spend much money. The only thing odd about it is that it came with a plug in charger and it uses a very small USB connector, not the standard mini-USB. I found you that you can buy the appropriate cable or adapter (they're inexpensive) to enable the headphone to be recharged from a standard USB connection on a PC or an wall re-charger you may already own. Without that, you're slave to the recharger it comes with--not a big deal, either way. In summary, this is a good, inexpensive headphone for my usage, which doesn't include using it with a telephone. If you want corded headphone sound quality, you'd better buy a corded headphone. I own plenty of them, but I bought this for the convenience of being cordless and was willing to trade-off for lesser sound quality.

Great Product
I have bought three of these, two I've kept for my own use and one I've sold to a friend. They're been discontinued, but you can still pick them up and rather cheaply if you're patient. I connect the IM9 for very good sound from my laptop, netbook and an older TV. I've also taken it outside to neighborhood barbecues to provide music, connected to an IPOD or another MP3 player. It lasts a long time on a set of 4 C batteries and if you don't get the AC adapter with it, you can find them on EBAY or even from Altec Lansing, which still sells it.
All I can add is that the sound is better than you would expect it to be and the footprint is quite small. Stereo separation is OK, but not great, which is what you'd expect from stereo speakers in a single box. It doesn't have bass or treble controls so you have to use those in the device you connect it to. Did I mention that it has 4 drivers in it?
As I've said, I highly recommend this product and I still check to see If I can pick up more of them at good prices to give to friends to use with their laptops. Its small, sturdy and travels well, though it is a bit heavy, which is a good thing for speakers. If your expectations for small portable speakers are at all reasonable, you won't be disappointed with the Altec Lansing IM9.

Well-designed, well-made, Energy Star compliant--you won't be sorry
2 of 2 found this helpful This is an excellent product. Very powerfull, though that makes it also a little heavy and a little loud. Much more suction than the more well-known brand of hand-held re-chargeable vacuums. The "nozzle" of this thing is a little small, but not really much smaller than other makers units and I think the higher suction makes up for that. I especially like that its Energy Star compliant and the Accu-charge design that shuts off the charger when it senses the battery is fully charged. This both saves on electricity and lengthens battery life. Overall, this is an excellent, well-designed and well-built product. If you're looking for a vacuum of this type you won't be disappointed with this one. No more of the more famous brand for me.
