Amazing little machine!
I am hosting a graduation party and someone mentioned snow cones. I was looking for a snow cone maker on ebay just to compare -- would it be better to buy then rent for a party? Could we possibly find one that was sturdy and fast enough to compete with a rental? Yes and yes -- this is it.
I bought this machine and am so happy I did! It is not very large or heavy, but it has a sturdy build. It could NOT be simpler to use. To try it out, I just threw some ice cubes in and bam! It was faster than I realized and suddenly, there was snow in the little bowl. The ice shaver makes very fine ice that is almost like an icy version of snow. I am excited to make snow cones with vanilla ice cream in the bottom and then this ice topped with syrup. Yum!
I am experimenting with freezing wine and margaritas in dixie cups and I'm pretty sure this will make slushie-type frozen drinks as well.
