I bought the Z710 because I have a 650 and needed another camera, I like Kodak camera for it takes great pictures and it is simple to operate. The Z710 is a easy on battery where the 650 is hard on them. As you zoom out the picture does not bler like some low end cameras do. I would recommend the as a great camera to the novice or a back up to a pro
