Impossible to remove the car from the styro platform.
I purchased this model in Carmen Red No. 2258. It's beautiful. The problem is I can't get it off the styro platform. I've actually destroyed the platform in an effort to remove the car, but I still can't unscrew two of the plastic supports. I will most like never buy another car from Model-Icons for this reason.

Very dated, did not age well, acting was flat.
It's always interesting to see again movies you enjoyed years ago. Some age quite well, and thos become 'classics.' Unfortunately, The Sandpiper isn't in that category. The most startling thing about watching this movie again is that there was no 'chemistry' between the actors -- amazing since Taylor and Burton were married to each other.
