I have a wonderful 60 ft oak tree in my front yard, which is a real challenge when trying to have real plants in the garden. Glass flowers help me fill in the space. I like the ones that have a solid color for the outermost plate because the pretty translucent ones don't show well in the heavy shade. Carefully packed for shipping and arrived promptly. Vintage Hildebrand
Her earliest published work, I believe. Always a twist when least expected. The most interesting thing is that I’ve read so many of her books set on Nantucket, yet each one is so different. How big is that island?

Despite a few irritating irregularities....
..such as "goes" instead of "said " and the lack of quotation marks around dialogue, it was a good quick read. The story is somewhat far fetched but well constructed and compelling. I rate it about equal to the other "The Girl" books of late.
