A real life story where you keep waiting for the good part.
I bought this book because I wanted to find out more about what happened during the cultural revolution. Anyone with any kind of wealth were treated as criminals. The story gives a vivid picture of what it was like to be there during that time from a child trying to figure it all out in a family that had been financially comfortable.
