Papo Styracosaurus - Another Winner
Papo does another fine job with their Styracosaurus figure. The sculpt on this figure is excellent, especially as it is a little smaller than the Triceratops. The sculpt detail on the head is very fine, I particularly like the cheek horn detail. Lots of great scale work on this dinosaur, with some nice work along the back showing a tougher texture. The Styracosaurus is posed as if roaring defiantly at some giant predator. This would be excellent in a diorama. I am not sure if I would provide to a child as a toy due to the sharp spikes along the frill and the horn on the face. The paint scheme on this figure is great, especially the weathering on the horns and spikes. Reddish colors are predominant on the face and the top of the figure; fading to a beige underside. The ridge along the back is done in a deep red. As always, Papo does a really good job on the eyes, making them very lifelike. Overall the figure is about 5 3/4" long by 3 3/4" high. It matches closely in size to the Papo Pachyrhinosaurus. Overall another winning dinosaur figure for Papo.

Papo Pachyrhinosaurus - An Excellent Figure
Once I received the Papo Pachyrhinosaurus, it became one of my favorite dinosaur figures. The sculpt on this figure is superb, especially the head. The amount and texture of the scaling on the head and frill is amazing. The texturing of the skin showing veins and folds is extraordinary. There are even a few long scars along the sides of the body on this figure demonstrating it has faced off against some of the tougher predators of its period.
The paint job on the Pachyrhinosaurus is excellent. The dark washes on the head and body really bring out the scaling detail. The weathering on the antlers and horns is likewise amazing. The paint scheme on this particular dinosaur is different from most of the Papo dinosaurs. Most Papo figures have a darker top of the back with gradual lighter shades toward the bottom or belly. The Pachyrhinosaurus is different in that the top of the head and body start out in a pale brown color and then moves to a darker slate blue on the sides. Toward the belly and feet, the color moves to gray. This scheme although still very natural and lifelike, makes it standout among the other Papo figures.
The only complaint I have about this figure is that the main body pose is exactly the same as the Papo Styracosaurus. The head is obviously different and they did change the positioning of the tail but it seems odd having the exact same stance for two different dinosaurs.
This is another great dinosaur for collecting and for use in dioramas. I am not sure that this would necessarily be a good toy for a child. The antlers on the frill and the horns on the face can be sharp. Looking at the antlers, they seem like they would be somewhat fragile and not stand up well to rough play.
From a size perspective, the Pachyrhinosaurus is about 5 3/4" long ab 3 1/2" in height. It matches almost exactly the dimensions of the Papo Styracosaurus. Overall, this is one of Papo's best efforts and one of my favorite figures in the Papo dinosaur line.

NX 1 Enterprise - Great Eaglemoss Edition
This is a well done miniature starship by Eaglemoss. The design is faithful to the ship used in the series. It is a nice sturdy ship with substantial nacelles. It sits in it stand better than many of the other starships, which is great. Another well done miniature.
