Removing it might be a small issue because installing it ,the filter has to be compressed, then it expands when completely inserted pass the entrance.
However, when removing, it might have to be ripped because there's no handle

Bad fuel injectors
You must use a lab scope to see its defects. Can cause misfiring and rich conditions. They will spray fuel but uncontrollably.
