Unable to register handsets

Unable to register all 3 reconditioned replacement handsets. Model number exact match to existing base and handsets. Have googled and sought out advice to no avail. Have followed all instructions to the letter. All I get is “Base no power” At this point I’m frustrated beyond words. Model number is KX-TGEA20
