Good picture but horrible usability
13 of 16 found this helpful I bought this for my mother. A few things to keep in mind:
1. It's a smart TV, so it won't even let you do many things, such as choosing the input source, without an internet connection and agreeing to "Terms and Conditions". It also comes bundled with a bunch of services, whether you need them or not.
2. The remote is primitive. The number pad is gone, you need to choose numbers on the screen. Switching the channel becomes an involved operation (rather than just hitting 2-3 buttons), and it's definitely not something you'd want to give an elderly person. To make matters worse I wasn't able to find a universal remote (with a regular layout) compatible with this TV. It appears to be one of the exceptions when it comes to compatibility with remotes.
The picture is decent, the sound is ok for a TV, but the usability is horrible. I just can't picture what passed through the mind of the designer of this TV's remote and menus to make him think this was a good idea...
