Not bad for cheap.
It came with no instructions, but assembly was easy (a couple of hours) once I found the youtube video. The motor came mounted in the head assembly. The laser head had no obvious way to mount it. The unit has no limit switches. Mechanically, the unit is smooth and sturdy. It often hangs, which I believe is the controller. I don't know if that is my unit or all of them or if it is a bad board or firmware. Mine also came with one defective stepper motor driver. All in all, I believe it is worth what I paid.

Well worth the money
It's small, inexpensive and works perfectly (at least mine does). What else could you ask for?

Buggy software, poor support. Buy something better.
Nothing but issues. Wrong product code. Could not import 2019 (from HRB). Crashed after entering all my data and would not run again -- return effectively lost. Support is awful. I have now spent 12+ hours in phone hold or chat queue. Last problem (crash & lost return) still unresolved. I can do my taxes manually in about 4 to 8 hours -- I have already spent much more than that struggling with this buggy software and inadequate support. Next time, I'll use TurboTax. The "savings" on this cheap HRB software works out to about $3/hour.
