You can walk on the glare ice with these without a problem . . .
Living in Wisconsin, we are subjected to harsh, snowy winters on a regular basis. Yaktrax are the only way to go. They stretch to fit, and sometimes can be a bit bothersome to pull over your footwear, but the end result is worth it. You can walk normally when these are on your shoes/boots. I have even walked over the vinyl flooring in my kitchen a few times wearing Yaktrax, and they leave no marks on the floor. Walking over glare ice/ice patches is a breeze. I've seen lots of mailmen here wearing these. After taking a couple of bad falls over the last few years, Yaktrax are a godsend. The only thing better than Yaktrax is moving to Arizona (which we might do soon). I would highly recommend Yaktrax. I seriously cannot say anything bad about them, other than after a while the coils do rust. Keep them clean, if you can. Their performance is not affected at all because of the rust.

This is one of the better portable recorder and cassette players.
1 of 1 found this helpful Works well. Cassettes are playing at normal speed. Voices sound life-like. I especially like that the record button is separate from the play button. No unusual sounds while tape is playing. Seems to be well made and solid. Tape counter is a plus. Would definitely buy this brand and model again. Runs on 4 AA's or adapter.

This is the best desktop cassette recorder EVER!!
1 of 1 found this helpful I have old Bible teaching cassette tapes that I listen to frequently. I busted my old player, and I've been buying several models to replace the one I busted. This Radio Shack CTR-121 VOX
Activation Desktop Cassette Recorder is the best one. My cassette tapes are old, but this player sounds life-like and true to the original voice. It's just as if my deceased pastor is standing right next to me, teaching the Word like I remember it years ago. There is no distortion. Aside from a slight humming sound from the guts of the recorder, I only hear my tape. It runs at the correct speed (not too fast). The player also has a counter and a "tone" dial (like treble and/or bass). It's easy to operate and shuts off automatically when the tape is done rewinding. Cassette players are getting harder and harder to find. This is the best one of them all.
