About

Hi! People ask me where the name "Lakota" comes from. Many years ago, my 12 year old daughter saved her money to buy a horse, a retired Thoroughbred. She named her Lakota. As I watched them flying over the jumps together at her riding lesson, I thought how perfect they looked, as animal and little girl became one. Beautiful memory. Now, with no kids around and Retired, my husband and I enjoy our two rescue dogs, and I have volunteered teaching classes at Humane Society of Tampa Bay for 10 years now. Some of my past and present fun collectibles have been Blue Sky Clayworks, high end Barbies, and Department 56 houses.

Arizona Motif Painted Pony is Beautiful :)
Trail of the Painted Ponies is a great product. So creative in their artwork. I live in Florida, but used to live in Arizona, and I have lots of good memories back West. When I saw this beautiful horse with an Arizona cactus motif, I fell in love with it. It sits on my desk and reminds me of good memories :)
