Perfectly awesome combination tread design - so far so good.
- ain't seen nothin' like it; & certainly not for this price, & all the way from N Ireland! I've seen a Bontrager on a bike with similar tread design but couldn't find it on the market anywhere., but nowhere near the aggression of the Vancom outer chunk tread (which does not touch the pavement except when leaned into corners, but great for the dirt). Bontrager's lofty prices no doubt reflect the standout lettering on the sidewalls...just what you need is a tire that jumps out at bike thieves when you're a 24/7 urban biker. The packaging 'wrap' took a little riding to work the kinks out, & I've gone through a combination of dirt, sand & gravel surfaces with no intrusive thorns - but it's always advisable to have slime in your tubes (no pun intended) especially when not running Kevlar type tires.
Very happy with the look & performance (& the novelty uniqueness) of these intelligently macho hybrid beauties!
