Glock finally came out with the perfect trigger!
I had 2 Timney Alpha triggers and I purchased this Glock Performance Trigger for my new gun and I have to say the Glock Performance Trigger is a much better and well thought out mechanism over the Timney Alpha and it's less expensive! My biggest gripe about the Timney trigger was the reset spring. It is a 90° coil spring that pivots and presses directly on the trigger shoe to reset the trigger. I had to tweak this spring to help push the shoe forward for a more positive reset and I polished the trigger because the striker was dragging across the top of the sear. I also tried numerous connectors to try to achieve the "right feel" for me. After getting it where it was pretty good it was only a 1-2lb pull on the trigger scale. So I would carry without a round in the chamber for everyone's safety. The Timney trigger is a very simple design and I thought it was a great solution at the time. However the Glock Performance Trigger is a 100% drop-in unit that maintains all of the Glock features and safety. I feel much safer with the Glock trigger. I think this should be an option when ordering a Glock firearm. This Glock Performance Trigger is right at 3lb on the same trigger scale in my new G47. Now Johnny Glock has mentioned before that when you put a trigger in a different frame it can have a different pull weight but in my frame my glock trigger is right at 3 lbs which is perfect for me! And it feels good too! I now carry with one in the chamber and feel very confident my sidearm will not go off.
