The glory days of the MGM Musical experienced!
1 of 1 found this helpful Well, it's been said that any film with Fred Astaire in it is better than about any other one
without him, is driven home by his performance with Cyd Charisse in this great musical.
The MGM musicals were a showcase for both Fred Astaire and Cyd Charisse which were
unequaled by other projects which they did before and later. Reputedly this was Cyd's
favorite film from her movie career and while it's probably not Fred's best dancing film,
the ensemble effect is a most pleasing musical film experience and showcases the great
resources of MGM at the height of the studio's powers. It's an extremely amusing story
from the Cold War days when Russian envoys were stereotyped, as Cyd is in the musical,
as hard-line dogma-driven characters. Played against the carefree character of Fred as
an American movie producer working in Paris, the setting for some fun and character
conflicts, resolved through romance, is staged. Everything is resolved through beautiful
music and dance in one of the most memorable and enjoyable musicals ever to come
out of that Hollywood dream factory, MGM. It's great!

Excellent movie poster reproduction preserves sharp details of the original
With original posters of many classic films of the past fetching hundreds or dollars, or more, it is delightful to be able to obtain and display a sharp virtual reproduction of the original like the one which I recently purchased for a low nominal cost. In many ways the reproduction posters, like this one, offer a superior value for the collector because they are in new condition, not damaged or folded from commercial display use. So I was very pleased to have a "rolled" poster in NEW condition to frame and enjoy. A great value,

An Excellent Value Digital television tuner
The product was new and exactly as described. The set-up time for tuning various channels was lengthy, but after "booting-up" the tuner worked very well and made it possible to receive digital signals with an analog monitor, thus expanding its capabilities. The remote control works well and the ability to record from DTV is a nice feature. Generally I'm very impressed with the
digital TV converter.
