Never judge a book/movie by its cover.
When I heard the premise of this movie, I decided it was definitely not my "bowl of soup). Then I discovered Robert Carlyle in "Once Upon a Time" and "SGU",and was so fascinated I just had to look him up. The scenes of this movie on YouTube turned it into a must see, and I loved every minute of it. All of the characters are lovable in their own way, and the combination just works. I bought the PG13 version and was not at all embarrassed to watch it with my husband and sons.
