Install and go. Great cost effective gaming build.
Installation was easy and hassle free on a regular 1155 socket motherboard. It was easy as install and go. I did not have to do anything to the bios. The build consisted of this cpu, 16gb ram, 500 watt Thermaltake white psu, a gigabyte motherboard, Corsair H60 AIO, and a Nvidia geforce gtx450 (upgrading to an AMD rx 560). I put all this in a DIYPC case from newegg and it looks and performs great. I built this for my 15 year nephew for his 16th birthday present. He only plays Roblox and Minecraft at the moment so the Nvidia 450 works fine for now but will defininitly upgrade the gpu when needed. I built this from parts I had around the house so cost was low. I would recommend this build or a AMD Ryzen 3200g build for a young kids first pc or for someone who does light gaming who doesn't need a monster of a pc for heavy gaming,or task heavy video editing. I don't know how it handles for Twitch streaming.
These Xeon cpu's are still usefull and cost effective builds that don't break the bank. If paired with the right video card it can game very well.
I upgraded from a Nvidia geforce gtx 960 2 gb model graphics card to the AMD rx 580. It has been a huge improvement. After installation I played one of my favorites, Diablo 3. It was like playing a whole new game. I heard with AMD, colors look bolder and I have noticed it right away even on my wallpaper on my desktop. I am able to max out game settings and utilize the 8gb in more modern titles with more fps. I have enjoyed using this card and don't regret buying it. The AMD RX 580 really packs a punch for what you pay for.
