Cross Of Iron

This is a pan-and-scan version, which is a negative from the outset. It is also a weak transfer to boot. Avoid this Hens Tooth Video release, and go for the widescreen version released more recently.

Days Of Thunder

It's formulaic, but fun to watch.

You really can't go wrong. The movie is well shot and edited. The story contains nothing new, but certainly holds your attention. Tom Cruise and Nicole Kidman look great and Robert Duvall is endlessly watchable. The Dolby Digital surround sound is terrific. An entertaining blast from the past.
