Excellent Part and Value
My generator wasn't functioning because ants infiltrated the old control board causing a short. Due to the age of my gen., had to order this kit. The kit has all parts needed as well as detailed instructions. The installation was quite simple. One caution, be sure to make sure your existing wiring reaches the place you intend to mount the adapter board. I failed to do this and had to remove and re attach. Totally my fault and only mentioning to help other buyers. Also, if you wish to keep track of your total run hours, need to add hours from old control board (if possible) to the new one as you'll be back at "0" with new board.

I chose this item because it comes with the bolts. Despite the listing stating the item works on my engine, the bolts are too long. The plate itself is nice and so is the gasket. Unhappy that I now need to go out and find/purchase the proper length bolts.

Worth the Effort
1 of 1 found this helpful The seller of this product is up front about the fact that the installation of this product might be a challenge for some. I feel my mechanical abilities are above average yet, I had a minor struggle installing these. The product is great and the included directions are excellent. If you are methodical and patient during the installation, you'll be very pleased with the results. I suggest adding a Dremel tool to the list of suggested tools. I definitely needed mine to complete the job. Very pleased that I can now open my rear hatch and rear window.
