Really great Nissan Maxima that continues to impress
Seems the more we spend time in this vehicle, the happier we are that we purchased it! It is not a brand new vehicle, but it runs and drives just like it should, and doesn't scream for attention while on the road. The fit and finish seems to be on par with what should be expected of an import vehicle.
The interior is still very nice even with 140K+ miles on it, and everything inside works as it should. The coloring of the leather and dash compliment the 'woodgrain' trim accents very well. The only thing about the interior that I would ask for would be more legroom for the front passengers. I'm six foot and with the seats completely rearward, my knees will hit the dash from time to time. The dash is nice and soft, so it's no big deal.
The exterior as mentioned won't wow anyone, but we really like that about the car. Again considering the mileage on ours, the fit is still very good and nothing is sagging or looking aged from years of use. The trunk opens and closes smoothly, and the gas assist hood opens and stays open as it should as well.
All Maximas came with the same 3.0 V6 motor, and it runs like a top. It has enough low end power to spin the tires if you give it too much gas, and enough mid range for passing quickly. The motor is still nice and quiet at idle, and ours has a nice sound to it when accelerating.
Overall as you can tell, we are very pleased with this car. It was economical to purchase used, parts seem easy to find, and the uplevel feel of the car is a great plus everytime we are in it.
