Over Priced For Wireless Functions

I bought this camera because of the wireless remote and iPhone app to operate the camera remotely. The camera is fine quality wise but the remote and app are absolute junk! The remote is IR and does not work after about 15' away from the camera. Outdoors the remote does not work due to IR rays from the sun or even overcast. The mobile app disconnects at about 20' and is very jerky when it works. I contacted Sony and they told me that the app and remote are not designed to work at any great distance. That is why I bought the camera in the first place. Personally I would stay away from this price tag if you want remote features. I did find a wireless remote (After market) that works with the camera at a distance up to 100 meters. It's the JJC SR-F2W at a cost of about $60.00. This remote will work with a lot of Sony cameras that have a multi input which this camera does. The quality of the Zess lens is outstanding and some of the other features are also very good. I like the quick auto focus feature also. So with all that said I don't really feel this price tag is worth the wireless features since they don't really work.
