Highly functional, low cost, rugged design
As a lighter, this tool is probably overkill, except for the biggest, wettest stogies. I use it for emergency shrink tube installation, which works very well with a bit of care to prevent burning. It is easy to use and easy to refill with a standard butane can without any special tip. It certainly beats my prior torch that used Bic lighters for the fuel source. It is considerably hotter than those older single nozzle tools, which required getting the flame closer to the shrink tube, with more danger of burning. The only drawback I can think of is that it may not work at high altitude because of the low pressure of the butane. Durability will be determined after extended use, but it looks good.

Great product--could be even better...
2 of 2 found this helpful The webbing and buckles are high quality and work well. What would make this package even better is to include some triglides for applications that need both ends captured, with no webbing flap. Also, a package with double or quadruple the amount of webbing would be more consistent with the 30 buckles provided. Topping all this off with a good set of instructions on how to sew the webbing and how to thread the buckles would elevate the package above the usual Chinese "you-figure-it-out-for-yourself" offerings.

Rugged adapter may not be mechanically compatible.
This rugged adapter uses only the Y phase of the 50-amp connector. Both of the smaller female connectors are connected to the Y phase hot wire, the neutral wire, and the ground wire in parallel. The X phase hot wire is not connected. The large body on the 50-amp connector is to big to fit under the outdoor connector cover on my outlet. I will have to find a larger cover or change the outlet box altogether. I have found that these 50-amp plugs and sockets come in multiple sizes and configurations, making building a compatible system somewhat complex. All the electrical contacts may fit perfectly, but the mounting hardware can create a challenge--so beware and consider all the differences in the external mechanical mounts.
