Gas lines did not fit.
Carburetor was fine; but the fuel lines were not the right size for the application - and the inlet pipes on the carburetor were all the same size, unlike the original carburetor. To make the carburetor work on the Poulan 3516 AVX chainsaw it was necessary to drill out the inlet hose to the gas tank to fit the larger fuel hoses. This should not be necessary when you buy a carburetor kit with hoses. In the end, it worked but would not have worked without the fix I applied. I suggest you send the correct gas hose sizes in the kit.

not the same thickness as original MTD part
These idler pulleys have a slightly shorter sleeve height (the hollow metal hub that has the mounting bolt through its center and goes through the middle of the ball bearing inner race) - this small difference is enough to make the dust caps bind the bearing and prevent it from rotating. In short, it will not work because it will not spin. I managed to shim the dust cap with a washer between the dust cap and the bearing carrier. This relieved the binding so they seem to work fine now. I should not have to re-engineer a part advertized to be a direct replacement.

It works but for how long?
It works; however, there is no way to tell how well it is constructed or how long it will last. It cost only pennies to produce but dollars to buy. I would think a decent profit of 40% or so would suffice. In short, it is far too expensive for a very common product that is in no means short supply.
