Defective product?

The Black cartridge prints OK. For some reason, the color cartridges do NOT print in their normal color but rather a mix of all three colors. I am at a loss as to what to do. Appreciate an email response addressing this problem Thank you. PS. The print head worked so-so for about 30 days, then began to fade away.
