Excellent sport dog training whistle
The Acme 560 is a great whistle for training sporting dogs. The tone is loud, carries well over distance, and the whistle's trill is always reliable. It's been my standard for more than 30 years of training working Labrador Retrievers. In comparison to others I have tried, most recently the popular Roy Gonia Special, the 560 is a superior product. Trying 3 different RG Specials all resulted in the same flaw ... an unreliable trill caused by the whistle's pea 'freezing' or binding that results in a nasty shriek or squeal from the whistle. I've never experienced that problem with the Acme 560, it performs reliably every time.
