The Loaves and Fishes Cookbook by Anna Pump, Gen. Leroy
This is a great little cookbook filled with one-page recipes that are well written and easy to follow. This book is one of about 5 or 6 cookbooks and their authors that Ina Garten has referred to in some of her own Barefoot Contessa cookbooks. I liked the recipes that Ina had gotten from Loaves and Fishes and decided to buy the book for myself.
Each recipe seems to have a little gourmet "twist" that tastes wonderful and different. This is not a "how to" book, just a wonderful book for your kitchen and will perk up your menus for everyday and entertaining.
I have cooked a lot out of this book - it's fun and easy! A lot of the recipes in Loaves and Fishes have been used in Anna Pump's catering business in the Hamptons as well as selling items from her store by the same name.
I also like the Party Cookbook of Loaves and Fishes written by Anna Pump and her daughter Sybill.

Country Weekend Entertaining
I wanted this particular out of print book because it is one of about 5 books that Ina Garten - The Barfoot Contessa - refers to over and over.
We spend the entire summer in our Michigan cottage and there is one fantastic recipe in this book after another. It has become a wonderful entertaining bible.

Another great cookbook by Betty Rosbottom!
One great soup recipe after another with sandwiches, sides & desserts to go with them. All of the soups are easy to make with readily available ingredients. I am an experienced cook and have been delighted with the layers of taste in these recipes. Betty has a couple of recipes from this book on her blog and website if you would like to try a couple.
