The perfect title for the perfect book
This is the most beautiful book about a love between a stallion, a man, and a woman ever written. The horse, Maestoso Austria is a Lippizaner stallion a successor of the most noble line of the Andalusian horse ancestors of the famous Lippizaner horses of the World Spanish Riding School and his owner and rider tells the story of his love for his horse and the woman he loves in a way that has never been repeated. I would recommend it to everyone who loves horses and in particular the old and new horses of the riding style known as "airs above the ground".

Middle book of a trilogy of the life of a woman over the first half of the first century
This is the middle book of a trilogy from Germany's most successful novelist of modern time. It is probably the most difficult trilogy she wrote and to read and if you have been born after about 1980 you will not be interested as it is the story of a woman, born in the last years of the 19th century, and her life through two terrible world wars and the love and losses that shape her and sometime almost destroy her. Written by a German writer I do not know if it was ever translated into English, but it shows the uneducated English and American people how the average people in Germany really thought about and reacted to Hitler and his war, right from the Nazi fans to the intelligentsia and the normal people who could see what was going to happen. It would be a very good book to read, this middle book that takes place predominantly during 1931 to 1945 and some people might see the similarities ti what is happening in the world as we speak. It is not easy reading but a book well worth the effort of reading it from the first to the last page.
