The Lego Mindstorms Robot Inventor kit (51515) is AWESOME!
The Mindstorms app has detailed building instructions for 5 robots (shown on the box) and you are provided with programming templates for each one of them, which can be edited or created new also through the Mindstorms app using the scratch-like programming interface or Python.
The kit comes with 949 pieces (all Technic) and there is a good selection and a good variety of structural (pins, axels, beams, gears etc.) and aesthetic pieces to build and accessorize your robot.
As an adult Lego fan, I found it very easy to use given it is my first Mindstorms set. There is lots of inspiration on YouTube and Reddit (r/Mindstorms) on what fun ideas and projects can be made with this set.
It's really cool how you can program on your PC transfer the file to your Phone (i.e. save the file to Google Drive and open it on your mobile Mindstorms app) and then control the robot from your phone with the virtual controls. You can also connect an Xbox or PlayStation controller easily over Bluetooth - Although this might not be straightforward or obvious how to do for everyone so I recommend looking for online tutorials.
My only complaint is that the wheels Lego made for this kit don't have any tread so they can slip on some surfaces.
The kit I received from this seller (peiya64) was mint-in-box condition as advertised, which was really pleasing and I received it quickly.
