Where's The Sound?
It has all the specs and weighs in heavy. I tried with various speakers and I cannot get it to sound any ggod. It is very thin and week sounding. You MUST turn up the bass most all the way to have a decent sound. There are no other tonal or DSP adjustments that would help. Be sure to add a graphic equalizer when you buy one.

Pioneer CT-W606DR adds a Digital Processing System
The 606 is one of the lowest cost and newest deck incorporating Digital Signal Processing. By sampling and digitizing the analog signal from the tape, it improves sound quality by compensating for cassette tape's shortcomings. It adds clarity to the treble, opens up the soundstage and virtually eliminates tape hiss. It does a fine job of moving the tape at a steady speed. Most every tape that seems to drag or bind, also does on my other branded decks. A great find. I own a couple of them.

Speaker adapters for Mercedes W202
Very hard to find adapters for Mercedes W202. Bought front door and rear deck adapters. They were bought from an eBay vendor in the UK. They were sent via Royal Mail and took 1 month to arrive in California. The front door adapters were fine and installed quickly. The rear deck adapters were nearly impossible to install. Perhaps the entire rear deck should be removed, but that was not in any instructions. It was a battle to try and wedge them in, and there was a slight amount of damage to the deck, but there was no avoiding it. Once the battle to wedge them in was over, the remainder of the install went fine.
