Excellent Radio
Top notch radio and amazing receiver even by today's standards. If you look inside one of these - it is a work of art. The downside is they are getting up there in age and there is a lot to go wrong especially if it wasn't cared for. Common item is burned out lamps especially the sub-display. A pain to change, but can be done. Look for a good one.

Well worth the money
This thing is powerful and the battery lasts a long time. So nice not fighting the two separate gas units I had not to mention it being very quiet. I burned through a large yard including edging and only used 1/3 of the battery power. Downside is it seems a bit too long and not exactly balanced the best.

A radio of superb quality
If you ever take the cover off a Kenwood TS-520S, you have to stare at the quality and workmanship. They were simply built to last decades and decades. The quality of components and hardware must have been an absolute priority.
