A simple project in the works
I have used k-wire in the past as a thermal-couple simply by welding the dissimilar metals together. This K-wire is being used as an interconnection between an existing thermal-couple and a plug that will be mounted on the exterior wall of a kiln. Which reminds me I need to order the male and female plugs

Pleasantly surprised!
I was a hardcore skeptic when I purchased this portable bandsaw. I actually wasn’t sure if it could hold up to the task that I had planned for it, especially for more than half the price of the competition.
Thank goodness I decided to take the gamble because it did two things for me. Firstly, it saved my arm from hours of frustration using a hacksaw. Second, it cut the steel like butter. Being able to slow the speed or increase the speed on the fly made a huge difference in the way it cut.
Getting the blade on was a bit of a challenge at first but I managed. The device weighs about 15 pounds so there really is no need to apply downward pressure, just allow the blade to do its job and keep ahold of the device with both hands while it cuts. It also has a built in light that is directed towards the work piece. This little feature was a huge benefit as it helps you see what it is you are cutting without the need for an additional light source.
The saw appears to be well made. If you need an affordable portable bandsaw I do highly recommend that you give this saw a try.
