Super-fast focus Nikon lens!
1 of 1 found this helpful This Nikon 70-210 f/4-5.6 "D" lens gives great results even when wide open. The auto-focus is incredibly fast to lock-on in all but the dimmest lighting. The only thing that I could wish for to improve this lens would make it into my Nikon 80-200 2.8 lens. NOTE: This is the "D" version. The non-"D" version is not as fast at focusing as this one is, so be SURE that you are looking at the "D" version if you want the same pro-level focusing performance.
Great for outdoor sports if there is plenty of light. The 4-5.6 limitation puts a damper on using high shutter speeds to freeze action, so if this is your goal and lighting will be less than "sunny" conditions or in-doors/night games, then you need to look at the f/2.8 lenses for better low-light performance. (And typically costing 2-3 times as much as this lens!)
If you find one of these for $240 or less, I recommend you grab it ASAP as you won't likely be disappointed.
And as an FYI, I have used this lens with a Tamron 1.4x Teleconverter with no problems on a Nikon D90. This is affording me the equivalent of a 147-441mm range on this lens! And things are plenty sharp so long as you have plenty of light to avoid high ISOs or shutter speeds less than 1/160 sec. for action shots.

Works just like OEM battery, but BIGGER in both capacity, & dimension...
Plugged it into my Archos 7 unit and it worked like nothing had changed. Only now, I can go DAYS without plugging it in, and the leather case I had my Archos 7 in will not fit the extended "hump" of the battery. Consider this, as it makes the custom cases I have for my Archos unusable. So for travel, I simply fully charge both batteries, and travel with the original battery attached, and keep the extended battery in a lined bag, ready to go should I ever need it.
