A bit rough.
I took a chance on this item so wasn't surprised that it wasn't great. It's a gamble when you buy these cheap products.
I wouldn't trust that the micrometer thread was true, so I used it as a gauge and took measurement of it using an external micrometer. Perhaps I will set up some standards and see what its tolerance is over its range?
In summary then; a quality pair of analogue vernier calipers in the hands of a time served machinist will probably be more accurate.
