Blackberry Passport Silver Edition
4 of 6 found this helpful While this will never be appealing to everyone (especially those who use video a lot), it is a superbly made smartphone which is quite brilliant in its ease of use and functionality.
Especially good is the keyboard and general typing experience, which makes emails and other communications perhaps no faster, but certainly more accurate.
The controversial square screen may not be best for video, etc, but is outstanding for internet purposes where its width is a real boon. In conjunction with the way that the keypad doubles as a trackpad web pages are easy to navigate without touching the screen.
Being a Blackberry it comes with their brilliant Hub, revealing messages of all kinds in a single, easily organised, place - as it does with their Documents to Go, meaning full access and use of Word, Excel and Powerpoint at your fingertips.
Clearly this is niche market smartphone aimed primarily at business and communications rather than gaming. But I have had no issues thus far downloading and using apps from Amazon (as well as Blackberry) which is an important bonus compared with earlier Blackberrys.
To all this might be added, that it has an exceptionally good battery life, terrific sound from its inbuilt speakers in such a solid frame, and last, but not least, it works extremely well ... as a phone for making and receiving calls of great clarity!
